When a person comes to the adoption center or mobile site, they fill out an application and a volunteer interview them and ask about your cat knowledge and experience as well as other pets. Applications go through an approval process. We help match the cat with each family according to home environment and lifestyle. Some adult cats may be adopted singly, but we prefer to adopt out kittens in pairs unless adopters have a playful cat or dog already in residence to keep the kitten company. Once a cat is adopted an adoption contract is completed. King Street Cats asks for a $125 non-refundable adoption fee to adopt a cat or kitten, or $225 to adopt two. All cats has been to a vet and tested for FELV/FIV. Adult cats are up-to-date on vaccinations. Kittens will have had vaccinations appropriate for their age. All cats & kittens are spayed or neutered before they are placed for adoption.
