Our adoption process is designed to ensure each rabbit is placed in a safe, prepared, indoor home that is a good long-term fit. Interested adopters begin by completing an adoption application so we can learn more about their home, experience, and what they are looking for. We then schedule a brief phone call to discuss rabbit care, answer questions, and help determine whether the rabbit may be a good match. Approved applicants are invited to a meet-and-greet. Before adoption is finalized, we confirm home readiness, including appropriate indoor housing, exercise space, and basic supplies. On adoption day, adopters review and sign our adoption agreement and receive care information to help support a successful transition. Our current adoption fee is $100 for a single rabbit and $150 for a bonded pair. Adoption fees help offset veterinary care and rescue expenses, including exams, spay/neuter, vaccinations when applicable, supplies, and general care.
