Description
Max is a 1-year-old, 55-pound bundle of energy and love who is finally getting the fresh start he deserves. Max came to us from a difficult local situation. His owner, who suffers from the effects of a traumatic brain injury, got Max hoping he would be a companion. Unfortunately, Max's energy level and needs were more than he could manage. As a result, Max spent much of his young life confined to a crate, often for long periods of time with little exercise or stimulation. When we learned about Max's situation, we immediately stepped in and welcomed him into our rescue. Despite everything, Max has remained an incredibly friendly, happy dog. He loves people, does well with kids, and enjoys the company of other dogs. He is house-trained, crate-trained, and eager to be part of a family. Because he missed out on some important training and socialization, Max could use a little work on his basic manners, but he is young, smart, and ready to learn. Max is an active dog who will thrive with a family that can give him plenty of exercise, structure, and attention. After spending so much of his life waiting in a crate, he deserves a home where he can run, play, and simply be a dog. Please help give Max the life he's been missing. Max is microchipped, neutered, and up to date on vaccines.
