MONCHI NEEDS A FOREVER HOME!!!! Name:   Monchi         Best Guess for Breed:  Chihuahua mix   Best Guess for Age:  9 months as of June 2026        SEX: Male   Approximate Weight:   13 lbs as of 5/20/26; he likely has a bit more to grow.   Gets Along With: Other dogs! We haven't seen him with cats or kids but we are happy to discuss integration techniques with any potential adopters!   Currently Living at:  DC area foster home   Special adoption considerations:   Dogs from Puerto Rico have a major transition to go through when they arrive and will need humans who are very committed to socialization. We think this pup would do best with either a resident dog or a family who can make sure they can go on walks regularly with other dogs, visit the dog park, or go to doggie daycare to learn the ropes.   Monchi is Looking For:   His forever home! Monchi is a sato - a dog from Puerto Rico. He can't wait to get his own humans in the DC area for sniffy walks and romps in parks and world exploration - there's so much he wants to do and see! Dog school would be great too, so he can learn to be the bestest boy. But you know what he wants most of all? To know where he belongs, to be safe and loved.
