Description

Hi! I'm John Oates. I am a cute brown tabby male.   My brother and I were abandoned outside the shelter one night in a duffel bag. We both had eye infections when we were found. The volunteers took really good care of us and my brother recovered quickly.   Unfortunately I did not respond to treatment and my left eye did not improve. The volunteers worked with our awesome veterinarian and tried several different medicines with no success. They even took me to see two different veterinarian ophthalmologists (special eye doctor for animals) who tried even more treatments and medications. My eye still didn't improve and finally the decision was made to remove my left eye. I feel so much better now! And I think I look even  more handsome and dashing - if that's possible.   I am playful and loving. I am curious and love to explore. I am a very smart kitty and learned how to open the lever door handles at the shelter. I gotta keep the volunteers on their toes! What I love best is to snuggle and sit on your lap! I have a loud purr and sound like a motorboat. I get along well with cats and people of all ages. All I need now is to find my furever family and home. Could that be with you?
