Meet Pixie!This beautiful medium-haired girl is searching for a patient and loving home to call her own. Pixie can be a little shy at first and prefers to take her time getting to know new people, but once she feels safe, her gentle and sweet personality begins to shine. Pixie enjoys peaceful surroundings, soft blankets, and quiet moments spent near the people she trusts. While she may not be the first cat to greet you at the door, she'll reward kindness and patience with companionship and affection on her own terms.This lovely lady is looking for someone who understands that the best friendships take time to grow.Pixie is on-site and available for introductions during open adoption hours. The adoption paperwork can be completed now with your new pet able to go home as soon as the spay/neuter procedure has been completed.Adoptable cats/kittens are spayed/neutered, started on core vaccines per shelter protocols, microchipped, FIV/FeLV tested, and started on monthly preventatives. Adoptions hours (no appointment needed) are M/T/W/F 10 am - 12:30 pm and 2 pm -4 pm; TH 10 am -12:30 pm and 2 pm -6:30 pm, and SAT 9 am -1 pm. To schedule an appointment outside of those hours, and/or to learn more information regarding a particular animal, please call the Feline Department at 410-848-4810 ext 816. If no one answers, please leave a detailed message with your name and phone number, and the call will be returned by end of business Monday - Friday.Adopters can prepare for their visit by being 18 years of age or older, having permission from their landlord to bring a new pet into their household, having some form of ID that shows their current address, and by bringing a suitable carrier to take their new companion home in. The adoption fee can be paid using cash, debit or credit and is based on age: Cats 1 year and younger are $75; cats 2 years to 7 years are $50; and 8 years and older are $25.
