Description

Meet Pistachio! Pistachio is an 11 lb bundle of personality with an adorable little confident strut and a heart that just wants to be close to his people. Whether he's curled up in your lap, following you from room to room, or investigating bugs in the backyard, this sweet boy is happiest when he's by your side.Like any young puppy, Pistachio is still working on his house training and leash skills, and he's making steady progress every day. He rides well in the car, especially in his crate, and is eager to learn. He knows "sit" and "come," responds well to positive reinforcement, and loves showing off for tasty treats.Pistachio enjoys other dogs once he's had a chance to get comfortable, and his foster describes him as affectionate, silly, inquisitive, and eager to please. He has the perfect mix of playful puppy energy and cuddle time, happily zooming around one minute before climbing into your lap for a nap the next. His favorite things include chew bones, snuggling with his people, and watching ants and other tiny critters explore the world.Because he's still building confidence, Pistachio is looking for a patient family that will continue exposing him to new experiences with kindness and encouragement. With consistency and love, this little guy continues to blossom every day.If you're looking for an affectionate shadow who will keep you smiling and happily claim your lap as his favorite place in the world, Pistachio is ready to meet you. This dog is up to date on vaccinations and is spayed or neutered. (Please note: Puppies under 3 months old may not be sterilized prior to adoption. If this is the case, your adoption coordinator will provide guidance on the process.) To adopt or learn more about this dog, you must complete an adoption application, which can be found on our website: www.sandypawsrescue.com. PLEASE READ:    •    If a dog or puppy is listed, they are currently available for adoption. However, they may already be pending an adoption, and their profile may not yet reflect this.    •    All information is accurate to the best of our knowledge as of the posting date.    •    Unless explicitly stated, Sandy Paws Rescue does not guarantee the breed of any dog. Breeds listed are educated guesses made by shelter staff, volunteers, or veterinarians. Many of our dogs are mixed breeds, often with pit bull-type genetics, resulting in a wide variety of physical traits and temperaments. Our dogs come from various situations, such as kill shelters, owner surrenders, or as strays. It is likely both parents were mixed breeds as well. Sandy Paws Rescue does not have a public shelter in Massachusetts. Our dogs reside in private foster homes or boarding kennels in the South until adopted. Many dogs are spoken for prior to transport or release from state-mandated isolation. For information on adoption fees, procedures, or FAQs, visit our website: www.sandypawsrescue.com. The FIRST step in adopting from Sandy Paws Rescue is to submit a completed adoption application.
