Meet Kylo, the 8 year old black cat! He came to the shelter because his owner was no longer able to care for him in their home. He has lived with large dogs in the past, but at the shelter he hasn’t been too fond of the other kitties. He would probably do better in a home where he is a solo cat, and any introductions between resident dogs should be done in a slow and thoughtful manner. Kylo has been around children, but he is a little more hesitant around the younger tots, so potential adopters should keep this in mind. If you are looking for black kitty to fill your home with love, consider meeting Kylo!Kylo’s adoption fee is reduced by $20 thanks to the Bogey Fund - a fund that draws adopter's eyes towards often overlooked black cats in the Shelter waiting for the purrfect home.Please note: Our Santa Cruz location’s Shelter hours are 11-6pm, 7 days a week! Although clients can walk through and see any animals in their kennels during open hours, we end “meet and greets” (aka meeting an animal out of the kennel) at 4:30pm every day. If you’d like to meet an animal out of the kennel, please arrive before 4:00pm to allow for time to discuss individual animals and meet them.
