Pollywog

Description

Pollywog is nearly perfect! An adult dog who still loves to run and play, she is the perfect blend of fun and snuggles. At just 20 lbs. she is a perfect size for any home and lifestyle. She is curious and loves to explore, inside and out. Pollywog is mostly very good on walks, sometimes she wil cross in front of her walker and if she sees another dog nearby, she may pull and whine or bark to get his attention. She wants to play!Pollywog loves to play with both humans (She is very people oriented and will often jump excitedly) and dogs, at times jumping at them too, but she will eventually calm down with cues (i.e., “settle down” and physical help or distraction.) She loves her chew and engagement toys and soft treats (not too fond of the crunchy ones). Pollywog loves rubbing noses to show affection and she will settle right down with face and ear rubs. Pollywog is working on "sit" and "down" commands.  Her appetite is hearty, which is good because she could put on a few pounds. She sometimes finishes a meal fairly quickly, but often grazes over a few hours, and she often will poop within an hour of eating and may still need some cues/training to make her business in the yard.While Pollywog sheds, she loves to be brushed, and she loves the attention! She is good in the car and she is good in her crate and will sleep quietly there at night.Pollywog is still new to PAW and we will update her profile as we learn more about this sweet and adorable girl!PAW adopts in the MD, northern VA, DC, and northern PA region.
