IVY NEEDS A FOSTER OR FOREVER HOME!!!! Name:   Ivy        Best Guess for Breed:   Shepherd and retriever mix Best Guess for Age:  2 years as of May 2026        SEX:   Female   Approximate Weight:  55 lbs   Gets Along With:  Other dogs! We haven't seen her with cats or kids but we are happy to discuss integration techniques with any potential adopters!   Currently Living at:   South Carolina shelter; needs a foster or forever home in the DC area to get up here.   Ivy is Looking For:  Her forever home! This girl is in her prime as a young dog and is eagerly looking forward to having her own humans for sniffy walks and all the adventures they can dream up. And dog school so she can show how super smart he is (shelter staff say she already sits politely and is confident on leash!). And then pets and cuddles and belly scritches at the end of a fun day together. And she'll want quality kibble and a cushy dog bed.Most of all, though, she wants to know she's safe and loved. In exchange she promises all the adoring gazes and happy tail wags she's storing up, and loyal companionship for all her days. What do you say?
