Chonk

Description

Say hello to 2+ year old Chonk, a sweet, cuddly, and curious pup looking for his forever people. Don't let the name fool you. This guy is a total lovebug who will follow you from room to room just to see what you're up to, then bury his face in your chest for a proper snuggle. He's a champion face-burrower and thinks his humans are the best thing in the world. Chonk is a medium to high energy dog who loves his walks and is a pleasure on leash, especially when treats are involved (he is highly food motivated and very willing to work for them).  After a good outing, he's perfectly content to settle in with a chew toy and relax alongside his people. He has lovely manners around food, and post-dinner zoomies are a nightly event and guaranteed entertainment. Chonk is looking for a one-dog household. He is easygoing and content on his own, but he still gets a bit overexcited around other dogs and is happiest as the only pup in the home.  He's also hoping to find a forever family  who is  interested in teaching him new and useful life skills and cues using force-free, positive reinforcement training methods. He's still learning  how to best let you know  when he wants attention, without mouthing, jumping,  and  gentle nipping. He's improving steadily with patient, kind guidance. He's a smart, willing student who just needs a thoughtful human to help him finish growing up.
