Meet Ernie, a gentle Shepherd mix with the sweetest soul and a heart full of love. While he may be a little shy at first, Ernie truly shines when he’s surrounded by his animal friends. He absolutely adores other dogs and even cats—he would be happiest in a home with furry companions (the more, the merrier!). Ernie is both house-trained and crate-trained, and he’s making great progress learning to enjoy walks. Having come to One Love Animal Rescue from a very rural area in Tennessee, urban life is still new to him. Noises like traffic and other sudden sounds can be a bit overwhelming, but with patience, love, and the support of a confident canine buddy, Ernie continues to grow braver every day. Ernie is looking for a committed family who understands that building confidence takes time.
