Holden

Description

Holden is a gorgeous husky mixed with shepherd.  He is very intelligent and very sweet. He likes water, toys and will play tug of war and soccer. Holden was found wondering the streets of Richmond and was never claimed at his time at the shelter, where he was a favorite. Holden is a really great dog. Sweet, gentle, and playful. He loves people and wants to be around you. He gets up in your lap for kisses and cuddles and is very affectionate. Is a love bug on the couch. He knows a decent number of commands such as sit, paw, down (with encouragement), give (ball). He is obedient when asked to come or sit. Loves chew toys, Kong ball and rope toys. Loves fetch play.  He is food aggressive around other dogs so caution there is needed.  Holden will let you know in the morning when he needs to go out. This is one exceptional boy!  This five-year-old hunk weighs in at about 55 pounds and ready to combine his life with yours. Everyone who has met Holden is impressed, not only with his great appearance but his calm and loving demeanor. This could be the perfect dog for you. come and meet him. When a volunteer recently took him out to a brewery, he rode excellently in the car, walked calmly on the leash, and played well with dogs of all sizes as well as kids at the brewery. He had some fun, entertaining play time - but also knew when it was time to settle down and be chill. Even though he only knew the volunteer for an hour or so, he calmly leaned against her legs. He is clearly eager to give his heart loyally to someone who can give him their heart and time back!
