Description
Meet Lola!At a little over a year and a half years old, this Cattle Dog mix is bursting with personality, love, and potential. When Lola first arrived, she was so fearful she had to be carried â the world felt like a very big, scary place. But with patience, kindness, and lots of treats, she has blossomed into an affectionate, playful girl whoâs ready to find her forever home. Lola is incredibly treat-motivated and eager to please, which makes her a wonderful candidate for continued training. She already knows âsitâ and is currently learning how to navigate the agility equipment in our play yards â and sheâs having a blast doing it! True to her Cattle Dog roots, sheâs energetic, intelligent, and thrives when she has both mental and physical enrichment.Once she trusts you (it doesn't take too long), Lolaâs sweet personality really shines. She loves giving kisses, leans in close for affection, and absolutely melts for butt scratches. On a recent Doggy Day Out and overnight, Lola got to take long walks on the ditches, around the neighborhood, and in Garfield Park. She played with a dog down the street and afterwards flopped at her hostsâ feet. She got to play with other dogs the next morning. At home, she had plenty of chew toys and one favorite she carried around with her. She practiced her patience and lay down while her host was on the computer. She slept in bed and was quiet the entire night. She did her business outside during her night at home, and left her hostsâ shoes alone! She showered her hosts with affection. Lola would do best with a home that understands her working-dog energy and is excited to continue her training journey. With structure, patience, and plenty of treats, she will reward you with loyalty, laughter, and lots of love. Because of her energy, she is best in a home with no children. If youâre looking for a smart, energetic best friend who will adore you endlessly, Lola is your girl.
