Birthday: June 8, 2022 Special kitties and the people who love them deserve special treatment. That’s why Joliet has a watercolor portrait which will be given as our gift to the special person who adopts her. Imagine living out in the wild trying to survive when someone finds you and rescues you from the elements, all while in active labor! That's exactly what happened with Joliet when her rescuer discovered her! She was walking around West York when she stumbled upon Joliet who was in the process of giving birth to her litter.  She quickly found her a safe place to have her babies... SIX babies! She raised her kittens with the utmost love and care being the perfect protective mother.  Now they are all grown up, she's ready to look for a loving home for herself! Despite the fact that she is a protective mama, Joliet has quite the personality! Once she feels safe in her environment, she becomes an entirely different cat.  She becomes a sweet, affectionate girl who can't stand the thought of you laying in bed alone.  The second she sees you lying down, she jumps up on the bed and cuddles with you.  She follows you everywhere in the house and greets you at the door when you come home. She'll let you know when it's okay to pet her, and to say that she's fiercely loyal is an understatement!  Whenever she gets that "kick" to do something fun, it's always a treat to watch.  Her favorite pastime is chasing her own tail, which is always a fun time! She loves to take care of herself by grooming herself whenever she gets the chance. She also enjoys her scratching pads! Because she is a more quiet kitty who doesn't like adult cats, it would be best for her to go to a home as an only kitty. Joliet's adoption donation is $115 and includes age-appropriate vaccines, dewormer, flea treatment, Felv/FIV testing, microchip, and spay.
