Description

Narwhal had a particularly rough start, and honestly, it’s a miracle he’s here. As one of 10 preemie babies that mama had and didn’t return to, survival wasn’t likely. Several of the babies were only 43g - that's about HALF the size of a typical newborn kitten. They were gummy faced and didn’t have fur on their feet, a clear indication they were indeed prematurely born, if their size didn’t already give it away. They were all named after types of whales, to give them something big to help offset their tiny stature. Despite trying with every available tool we had, Narwhal is the only baby of the Whale Pod who survived, and boy is he thriving! It’s like he’s determined to live enough for all of them! He is rowdy and playful and gets right in there with his new foster friends.  We LOVE seeing our babies adopted in pairs… having a familiar sibling/buddy helps ease their transition to a new home, and gives them a constant companion for life.  For more great reasons to adopt a pair, visit http://www.kittenlady.org/twokittens.
