WATCH MY VIDEO...Some dogs arrive with a detailed life story. Others, like Hank, arrive with a blank page waiting to be filled. This handsome 3-year-old Black Lab came to us from another shelter, so we don't know much about his past. We don't know where he's been, who loved him before, or what adventures he's had along the way. What we do know is that Hank is ready for a bright future, and he's hoping that future includes a family of his very own. Since arriving at our shelter, Hank has quickly won over staff with his sweet personality and joyful outlook on life. He is a friendly, sociable guy who seems to believe that every person he meets is a potential new friend. Whether he's out on a walk, playing in the yard, or simply soaking up some affection, Hank approaches life with a happy, eager spirit. If there's one thing Hank absolutely loves, it's playtime. Toys are high on his list of favorite things, especially balls. In fact, this smart boy already knows how to fetch and is always ready for another round. Watching Hank chase after a ball and proudly bring it back is enough to put a smile on anyone's face. Hank is also an active dog who enjoys exploring his surroundings. Curious by nature, he's always interested in what's happening around him and loves getting out for walks. Staff members report that he walks nicely on a leash and appears to know the command `sit,` giving him a great foundation for continued training and learning. Like many Labs, Hank is highly treat-motivated, which makes him both fun to work with and eager to please. A tasty reward and a few kind words go a long way with this lovable guy. Beyond his playful side, Hank is also incredibly affectionate. He enjoys pets, attention, and spending time with people. Whether he's engaging in interactive play, heading out on an adventure, or simply hanging out by your side, Hank's goal is simple: to be part of the family. Staff members consistently describe him as a super sweet dog who does well with others and loves everyone he meets.
