Sally #6 | 3 month old Staffy mix | Tiny explorer with a cuddly side Sally is a 3-month-old brindle Staffy mix with an adorable puppy personality full of curiosity, playfulness, and sweetness. She is a smart little girl who loves toys, fetch, chewing bones, and pouncing on her sister or resident dogs to convince them to play. Once she burns through her puppy energy, she turns into a cuddly little snugglebug. Like most puppies her age, Sally is still working on potty training and learning the routines of life in a home. She does very well when taken outside regularly, but she is not yet consistently signaling when she needs to go out. As with any puppy adjusting to a new environment, adopters should expect there may be accidents while she settles in and learns a new routine. Sally is very food motivated and already starting to figure out “sit,” especially when treats are involved. She is still learning leash walking and currently finds harnesses and leashes a little scary, so she will need patient adopters willing to help her continue building confidence. She gets along well with other dogs but is still learning boundaries and puppy manners. Like many young puppies, she can be jumpy, mouthy, and persistent when trying to engage other dogs in play. She is also a curious little escape artist who likes to test barriers and explore her surroundings, so a puppy-proofed home will definitely be important. Crate training is going fairly well overall. If Sally is tired, she settles down nicely, but if she still has energy to burn, she may whine or bark for a bit before relaxing. Sally and her siblings spent the beginning of their lives living outdoors after their owner passed away, but despite that rough start, she has blossomed into a playful, affectionate, and lovable puppy who is ready to find her forever family. If you and the dog are a good match then we'll connect you with our dog's foster parents to chat more in-depth. If both you and the foster agree that the dog is a good fit then a meet and greet is scheduled. We require applicants' dogs to meet ours to ensure they get along.
