Meet Rhyme. Rhyme is a 10 year old Calico cat weighing approximately 13 pounds who is looking for a calm and understanding home to spend her golden years in. She was surrendered after beginning to struggle living with one of the dogs in her previous home. Prior to this, she had reportedly lived successfully with the dogs in the home for many years. Recently, one of the dogs was diagnosed with cancer, and it is possible that changes in the dog's health and condition contributed to stress and behavioral changes within the household. Outside of that situation, Rhyme has been described as a very sweet and affectionate companion with both her people and the other dogs in the home. However, due to the recent behavioral concerns and without certainty regarding the cause, we believe Rhyme would do best in a calm home without dogs. She has never lived with another cat, so we are unsure how she would adjust to a feline companion. Rhyme is litter box trained and enjoys roaming freely throughout the home. She would thrive in a quiet environment where she can feel safe, secure, and relaxed while settling into her new surroundings. Rhyme is spayed, microchipped, current on her rabies and FVRCP vaccine, and Fiv/Felv negative. Her adoption fee is $30.
