Smoke & Burnie are two incredible young survivors with a story of resilience, love, and second chances. At just around a year old, these sweet souls were bravely rescued from a devastating house fire in Amherst County—and despite everything they’ve endured, their spirits shine brighter than ever. Smoke, a stunning tuxedo girl, overcame smoke inhalation and has made an amazing recovery. She may be just a tiny bit wobbly at times, likely from the ordeal, but it only adds to her unique charm. She’s full of personality—chatty, affectionate, and always ready to greet you with curiosity and love. Burnie, a gorgeous long-haired orange tabby, faced an even tougher road, healing from serious burns and smoke inhalation with the help of dedicated veterinary care. His journey has been nothing short of remarkable, and today he’s a gentle, resilient boy ready to leave his past behind and settle into a safe, loving home. Together or apart, Smoke & Burnie are living proof of the power of compassion and survival. Now all they need is a forever family to give them the happy ending they so deeply deserve. His adoption fee is $75. Many cats do so much better in pairs, which is why we offer a reduced adoption fee of $25 for the second cat (or more!).
