Description
Dodger â A Big, Lovable Goofball Looking for His Forever HomeTraveling along a busy local highway, this big handsome guy was spotted and safely picked up by his finders before he could be injured. They kept him separated from their own dog until they could get him to the shelter, and during that time discovered he is likely housebroken. They also told us he is friendly, goofy, and truly one big baby. They brought him to the shelter to be scanned and hopefully reunited with an owner, but like so many stray pets, he arrived with no chip, no ID, and no family ever came during his stray-hold period. While heâs been with us, we learned he will try to dodge the leash going over his head â which is exactly how he earned his name: Dodger. Once his leash is on, this sweet boy is easy to walk in and out of his kennel and will happily follow you wherever you go. Weâre thrilled to share that a generous supporter has sponsored his adoption fee.Dog meet: Dodger met a similar-sized spayed female and was full of playful energy â zooming, tail wagging, and play bowing. Heâs a gentle treat taker, loves pets, and just needs a patient family to help him work through his leash-over-the-head hesitation. We always recommend meet-and-greets with other dogs and children to ensure a perfect fit. Because he came in as a stray, we donât have information on how he does with cats or kids. Please come meet Dodger and see if heâs meant to be part of your family forever. All adoptable dogs/puppies are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and up to date on age-appropriate vaccines and preventatives. Adopters will need to establish vet care after adoption. The 3-3-3 Rule:⢠3 days to decompress⢠3 weeks to settle in⢠3 months to build trustDodgerâs adoption fee: SPONSOREDLocation: 430 Bristol Drive, StatesvilleHours: MonâFri 12â5pm ⢠Sat 11amâ2pmDodger / A3178912 years old ⢠neutered male ⢠65.10 lbs
