BONNIE NEEDS A FOREVER HOME!!!!   Come meet Bonnie and other great adoptable dogs this Sunday (8/23) from 12-3 pm at the PetSmart in Silver Spring (12020 Cherry Hill Rd, Silver Spring, MD 20904)!   Name: Bonnie       Best Guess for Breed:  Australian shepherd mix, maybe with some other type of shepherd Best Guess for Age:  9 months as of August 2026         SEX:  Female   Approximate Weight: 41 lbs as of 8/2/26 - is still growing!   Gets Along With:  Other dogs, cats, and kids! Has lived with cats and kids in South Carolina.   Currently Living at:  DC area foster home   Bonnie is Looking For:  Her forever home! Shelter staff say Bonnie has so much awesome young-dog energy and she's eager to get her own humans to burn it all off with - long sniffy walks, lots of romps, lots of adventures - yes, please! Mental and physical enrichment like advanced agility training would be terrific too!  Most of all, though, she wants to know she's safe and loved. In exchange she promises all the adoring gazes and happy tail wags and crazy expressions of love she's storing up, and loyal companionship for all her days. What do you say? Is Bonnie the active companion you see by your side on all your fun excursions?What My Foster Says About Me:  Bonnie is a rambunctious girl - playful and full of puppy energy!  She is learning her manners when she meets new people so she doesn't jump but she does it because she is so excited to say hello.  She loves meeting other dogs and people, including kids.  She takes treats very gently and is learning to walk nicely on a leash.  She is mostly potty trained and has had very few accidents. She does have that puppy energy and is curious about everything and wants to give things a little chew but when you tell her to drop it, she listens well. She is incredibly soft and loves a good snuggle. She is highly trainable. Lucky Dog cannot guarantee any dog is housebroken.  All of our dogs are working on their crate training.  TO ADOPT: The adoption fee for this dog is $460, which includes the cost of routine vetting, including vaccinations and spay/neuter.
