Hey there, I’m Briar. I’m the kind of dog who looks like he belongs on a long gravel driveway somewhere, watching the sunset from the porch after a good walk through the fields. Handsome? I’ve heard that once or twice. But what really matters is that I’ve got a good heart and plenty of love to give. People are my favorite thing. Doesn’t matter if you’re a stranger passing by or someone I’ve known forever — I’m always happy to make a new friend and lean in for some attention. I’m loyal, affectionate, and happiest when I’m close to my people. Now when it comes to other dogs, I can be a little particular about my company. I’d like to meet any future dog siblings before heading home, just to make sure we get along. I tend to prefer the ladies, if I’m being honest. Girl dogs are more my style. I’m also very food motivated, which makes teaching me new things pretty easy. Right now I’m learning how to walk nicely on leash, and I’m catching on quickly. Give me a few treats, a little patience, and I’ll do my best to make you proud. Truth is, I’m just looking for a home where life feels steady and simple — good walks, good company, and someone who’s happy to have a handsome boy like me by their side. I think I’d fit into that life pretty well.
