Hi… my name is Nina.  I may look like just another dog searching for a home, but my story is one filled with fear, survival, and hoping someone finally chooses me. I came from a horrible hoarding situation in Mississippi where over 200 dogs were fighting just to survive. One bag of food would be dumped out, and we had to scramble and fight for a chance to eat. I was neglected, abused, and forgotten for so long that I never got to experience what it truly feels like to be loved. But somehow… despite everything I’ve been through, my heart is still so full of love to give.  I am a very sweet, gentle girl who adores people and gets along wonderfully with other dogs. I’m house trained, rarely bark, and I’ve never chewed up anything I shouldn’t. Honestly, I’m just a quiet soul looking for peace and someone to finally make me feel safe. I’m still learning how to walk on a leash because no one ever cared enough to take me on walks before. The world is still a little scary to me, but I’m trying so hard to learn what it means to just be a normal dog. I love treats, chewing on bones, and getting soft scritches. The little things mean everything to me because I never had them before. I didn’t get a fair start in life… but I’m hoping someone out there can give me the happy ending I’ve always deserved. A warm bed. A full belly. A family that won’t give up on me. Please… take a chance on me. I promise all I’ve ever wanted was to be loved.
