Meet Adalyn (Addie) The Tiny Athlete with a Blossoming Heart and Brave Little Spirit! With her soft light spotted tabby coat, her breath-taking green eyes and the most delicate, precious little face, Adalyn may be the smallest of her siblings-but don't let her size fool you. This clever, spunky girl is full of determination, curiosity, and quiet strength. Born outside and still learning that the world can be a safe and loving place, Addie is a work in progress with a truly special spirit.Adalyn will do best in a quiet, patient, and experienced home that understands shy, fearful kitties. Born on the streets during the bitterest cold of winter, Addie faced incredible odds to survive and thrive.  She is still cautious with people but has come such a long way! Once she feels safe, she will come over to you while you are sitting down on a chair and if you put your hand out, she will lean in for petting. Her siblings are very sweet, and Addie has that same sweet and loving heart, but because of her intelligence and the fact that she had to learn to survive outside as the smallest of the litter, she is the most cautious of her siblings.  She loves being sung to in a soft, calming voice and will relax into those quiet moments. These small but meaningful milestones show just how much potential she has with the right person.  Her future family must be committed to continuing her socialization at her pace. She would do well with older, calm children (12+) or adults who are willing to give her the time and space she needs to build trust. Adalyn would love to have a playful, confident feline friend, but could also be a happy solo companion if she has a person or family devoted to spending lots of time playing with her.  Playtime is the key to Addie's heart. She absolutely loves feather wand toys, sparkly balls, and little stuffed mice, and she can more than hold her own in a wrestling match with her bigger brothers! Her playful side is where her personality shines-she's quick, clever, and full of energy when she's feeling safe. She is extremely athletic and loves to leap high into the air as she hunts her feather wand toy!Addie is a very smart girl and would thrive in a home with a person who, once that trust is built, might want to do some trick training with her.  She demonstrated her intelligence at a very young age and figured out how to get out of her kitten room.  Despite having a very tall "kitten-proof" gate that neither her momma nor her brothers ever figured out how to get out of, her foster momma woke up one day to find a tiny tail under the couch. Although she was only still a small kitten, Addie had figured out how to outsmart that baby gate and get past it! If there's a way over, under, or around something, this brilliant little girl will find it. Her intelligence, determination, and "girl power" spirit are truly something special. Addie has been raised in a home with dogs and does very well with them.  She has also been raised with cats of all ages, from small kittens to older adults and has excellent cat social skills.  She mothers the babies and respects her elder cats.  She would thrive in a home where someone is around regularly to continue building her confidence and to really let her have time to bond, though she can also entertain herself as long as she has a feline friend nearby.If you have experience with shy cats and are willing to invest the time and love it takes to help a beautiful kitty truly blossom, Adalyn is an incredibly rewarding companion.
