Nicolas

Description

Nicolas has had an interesting story with us.  We trapped him with other cats and kittens to help control the population by neutering and releasing. . . since this was during a harsh winter, we just couldn't put young kittens back out.  Nicolas appeared to stay shy for quite awhile.  We have learned that Nicolas has environmental needs that must be met for him to act more social.  He seems to thrive with a window, and with many social cats around, especially when he is in the middle of the action!  He also loves our exercise wheel, which is a great perk of our community room that too few cats take advantage of.  Knowng him as perpetually shy, we were amazed to see Nicolas come up specifically to greet us, presumably following the example of the very outgoing cats he had bonded with.  Nicolas needs to "take the temp" of the social situation, and he needs to watch examples of cats interacting with humans in a very positive way.  If his needs are met, Nicolas is friendly, fun, and would make a great companion!  Would you be willing to give him a try?  He could be a paired adoption with one of our ultra-friendlies if you would like to maximize his chances of success!   Thank you for your interest in a CATsNAP cat or kitten!   If you would like to meet a cat, please complete the online application located on our website catsnap.org.    We do not have a walk-in facility; most of our cats are in foster homes.  For this reason, we require an approved application on file before we set up a meet and greet.   Completing an online application does not obligate you to adopt! We care deeply about our cats and want the best match for all involved.   All CATsNAP cats and kittens are:  Vaccination against Panleukopenia (Distemper), Rhinotracheitis, and Calicivirus  Vaccination against Rabies (if animal is over 4 months of age) Testing for Feline Leukemia (FeLV) and Feline Immunodeficiency Virus (FIV)  Initial de-worming, flea, and ear mite treatment Sterilization of the animal prior to adoption; no exceptions Micro-chipping as mandated by state law
