Starsky has waited long enough. Starsky has spent far too much of his life behind kennel doors, and it's starting to show. Like so many long-term shelter dogs, he's frustrated, bored, and desperately needs a chance to just be a dog again. He's chewed up his beds, paces his kennel, and waits every day hoping someone will stop for him. The beautiful thing about Starsky is that once he knows you're safe and kind, he's a completely different dog. He just needs someone willing to give him a little patience and let him exhale. The staff does everything they can—even letting him run in the yard whenever there's time—but with hundreds of animals and only a handful of employees, there simply aren't enough hours in the day. Starsky doesn't need perfection. He needs a person. A yard. A soft bed that belongs to him. A chance to stretch his legs, feel the sunshine, and finally leave shelter life behind. We truly believe that once he's given consistency, love, and the opportunity to decompress, Starsky has the potential to become an incredible companion. Please don't let this sweet senior spend another day watching the world go by from behind kennel bars. He needs out. He needs a home.
