BRICK – Loyal, Goofy, “Classic Dog” Looking for His Person Breed: Retriever/Hound mix (best guess) Age: 2 years, 8 months Size: Medium Location: Snohomish, WA (foster) Good With: Dogs, cats, older kids Energy Level: Playful, active young adult IDEAL HOME • Experienced or committed adopters • Another friendly dog (preferred) • Calm household • Secure fencing • Willing to continue training and provide structure NOT IDEAL FOR • First‑time dog owners wanting a fully finished dog • Homes without time for training • Busy, chaotic environments with constant new visitors ABOUT BRICK Brick has been in rescue far too long for such a good boy. He has spent 19 months waiting for his family. Originally from Texas, he has been a joyful, affectionate companion since the day he arrived. His foster family calls him "Classic Dog" because he is goofy, loving, loyal, and happiest when carrying a ball around or snuggling on the couch. He loves people, enjoys learning, and thrives with routine. Brick is still working through normal adolescent dog behavior. He can be loud or unsure in new situations, but in familiar environments he is sweet, playful, and easy to live with. WHAT BRICK LOVES • Playing fetch and carrying toys • Snuggling with his people • Learning new things • Other dogs • Exploring the yard and going on adventures TRAINING AND HOME LIFE • Crate trained • Potty trained • Knows his basics and enjoys training • Lives with dogs, cats, and horses • Best with calm, older kids • Would love a securely fenced yard Brick thrives with structure and patient humans who can help him finish the last stretch of adolescence. With consistency and love, he will grow into the confident, joyful dog he is meant to be. BACKSTORY Brick arrived from Animal Advocacy and Rescue in Del Rio, Texas on 2/3/2024 and has been fostered in Snohomish ever since. He is available for adoption in the greater Seattle area.
