It is a long read and a long adoption process. Please understand we are ensuring that our babies go to great homes and we don't know you personally (yet). Understand that this is an adoption of a beautiful little soul that deserves the absolute best life.  The average lifespan of a cat is 13 to 20 years. Some cats even live into their thirties, although this is far less common. So don't let that discourage you from adopting an adult cat! Rescue Mama has had 3 live into their 20's. One was 8 weeks old. ZIVA DAVID (formerly know as CHIPPIE) was saved by an independent rescuer. The independent rescuer had children and a very busy house. ZIVA DAVID was moody, mean and never wanted to be touched. ZIVA DAVID has been with us for over a year. She has become loving (on her terms of course). She lives in our cat room. She will jump from tree to tree to get people's attention. She purrs instantly when you touch her. She DOES NOT LIKE to be picked up, but will come see you and hang out. ZIVA DAVID will need a family that will love her with all her quirks. She is feisty and sweet. She is demanding of love. She wants to be with a person that just lets her be her. We think in a home with understanding and soft older children she will love them. She will need to the the QUEEN cat in her home.  Meet ZIVA DAVID, the superhero of the feline world. Once an independent agent, ZIVA DAVID used her wit and bravery to outsmart a notorious cat burglar. However, her curiosity led her into a trap set by the burglar. She was caught and brought to the rescue. Despite her shyness and feisty demeanor, ZIVA's playful, goofy nature shines through.  ZIVA DAVID is a loyal friend, always ready to lend a paw in times of need. She has been around young children and she was selective of the ones she liked. She is very curious about dogs.  ZIVA DAVID is currently at our rescue in Hemet, California. ADOPTION PROCESS: 1. Go to Workinwhiskers.com (Click on ADOPT) 2. Fill Out Online Form 3. Submit Online Application 4. Someone Will Call / Text to Do Phone Interview 5. Will be notified of Approved Application 6. Home Visit (WILL BE SCHEDULED) 7. Official Meet and Greet with Kitty 8. Sign Adoption Contract 9. Pay Adoption Fee (VENMO - ZELLE - PAYPAL or CASH) 10. Take the Kitty Home ********* MAY CONSIDER OUT OF STATE ADOPTIONS NEAR CALIFORNIA BUT BE AWARE THAT WE WILL NOT SHIP. ADOPTER WILL NEED TO PICK UP********** The cats/kittens at a foster/rescue home, we will accommodate as much as possible. But steps 1-6 of the ADOPTION PROCESS need to be done before we do the OFFICIAL MEET and GREETS. Gas donations always appreciated! ************* Please no calls to the rescue. No one is available to take calls. ************ If the CAT/KITTEN is still listed (meaning here or other websites) they are still available. It does not mean they don't have other pending applications or meet and greets. Please note: Just because you fill out an application and are approved does not obligate you to adopt the cat/kitten. If he or she is not a fit...we have plenty of other cats / kittens available for adoption. We are a SMALL rescue based out of Hemet, California. We are all volunteers that run the rescue. The adoption fee of $200 covers:  Spay FVRCP shots RABIES shot FELV/FIV test (Negative/Negative) Drontal Dewormer Stronghold Flea Control Microchip We are NOT a government FUNDED shelter and all our donations and adoption fees are for our rescued cats/kittens.
