Nelly is a sweet, gorgeous catahoula leopard dog puppy who has all the classic traits of this American breed. High energy, loyal and loving to their owners, aloof and protective with strangers, Nelly has an active drive to herd small animals as they were bred in Louisiana to do. This means no cats or dogs smaller than her. Nelly needs a job, something to do every day. She quickly becomes destructive without enough exercise or toys. Nelly isn't a bad girl, she's a dog thats been bred to do a job and as her future owner it becomes your job to fill her life with activities that nurture that. Nelly is--Good for experienced dog owners who understand the needs of a high-drive working breed.-Active individuals or families who can provide a job, such as herding, hunting, or dog sports.-Those seeking a loyal and protective companion for a farm or ranch setting.  Not Ideal For-First-time dog owners.-Apartment living without a very active lifestyle.-Homes where they will be left alone for long periods without stimulation. -Any home with dogs smaller than her or cats OR -any homes with small childrenIf you are interested in meeting and/or adopting this baby, please fill out an application.
