Description
My name is Maya, and Iâm only 3 years old. Shelter life is breaking me down. You can see it in my eyes. The noise and chaos here make me so overwhelmed that I can barely relax. I pace my kennel, pant heavily, drool from stress, flip my bedding, and bark because I donât know how to cope anymore. ð Iâve even started losing weight from anxiety, and everyone here is worried Iâm losing little pieces of myself every day I stay in this environment. ð But this isnât the real me. When I got to go on a Doggy Day Out away from the shelter, I relaxed quickly. Outside the kennel, Iâm a completely different dog. I walk nicely on leash, enjoy affection, and show everyone Iâm actually a gentle, loving girl who just needs to feel safe. ð¾ Iâm dog social, good with kids 3+, and already housetrained. I can be a little timid when first meeting people, but once I feel comfortable, my soft personality shines through. ⨠One thing though, I do need a cat-free home. ð±â What I need most is a quiet, patient home where I can finally decompress â ideally with someone who works from home or is retired and can give me time, space, and reassurance. ð¡ Please donât let the shelter be the place where I disappear. I just need someone to help me learn to live again. ð¤ I'm available to foster or adopt. Please come get me soon!
