Description
From day one Sampson has been a crowd favorite. The tecs at the clinic begged for him to stay. The team leader of doggie day care with everyone wanting to be in his team.Always so happy to see you and be part of the current activity. Sampson is a “Shortie” or “Puddin” style Jack Russell Terrier with a gentle personality and a wonderfully balanced temperament. While he absolutely enjoys playtime and adventures, he also has a calm, easygoing side that makes him an exceptional companion.His foster reports that Sampson has settled into home life beautifully. He gets along well with dogs both big and small, has shown no reaction to cats so far, and even learned to respect the chickens after a quick correction — which is impressive for a terrier! He enjoys playing with his foster sibling Rosie while still remaining gentle and respectful.Sampson also appears to be housebroken, crates quietly without fuss, rides wonderfully in the car, and takes treats incredibly gently. We promise our fosters that we will qualify all potential adopters before we ask them to communicate with potential adopters.The application is the first step. We are 100% volunteer powered. Volunteers process the applications and need time above their personal needs and full-time jobs to process the apps.Please have patience. We do not have any paid staff members. Our adoption fee is $300 which includes spay/neuter, DHPP, Bordetella, Rabies, HW check, and microchip. Russell Rescue dogs are fostered in the Middle Tennessee area. We do not ship/transport our dogs, so the approved adopter must be willing to travel to Tennessee. Russell Rescue will try to first place our rescue dogs locally or in surrounding states.Russell Rescue is not open to the public for visiting hours. We do not have a physical location of our own.
