Description

Hi, I'm Donny.I'm a little over a year old, which means I've got the perfect balance of youthful energy and sweet companionship. When you first meet me, I might seem a little shy. I like to take a moment to figure out who you are and make sure everything feels safe. But once I get to know you, my affectionate side shines through.I'm the kind of cat who loves attention from my favorite people. I enjoy being petted, held, and spending quality time together. Give me a few minutes, and you'll likely find me rubbing my cheeks against your hand, making biscuits, purring away, and soaking up all the love you're willing to give. I've even been known to hand out a few kitty kisses to people I trust.I also have a playful side! Wand toys are one of my favorite ways to spend time, and I love interactive play sessions with my human friends. Whether we're playing together or just relaxing nearby, I'm happiest when I'm sharing my day with someone special.Like many cats, loud or unexpected noises can make me jump a little. Once I realize everything is okay, though, I'm quick to settle back in and get back to enjoying life. There is one important thing you should know about me: I am FIV positive. Sometimes that can sound scary, but it really shouldn't be. FIV, or Feline Immunodeficiency Virus, affects only cats and cannot be passed to people or other types of pets. Many FIV-positive cats live long, happy, healthy lives with loving families and routine veterinary care.Years ago, people believed that FIV-positive cats needed to live completely separate from other cats, but we now know that the virus is primarily spread through deep bite wounds, not through sharing food bowls, water dishes, toys, or cozy nap spots. Because of that, many FIV-positive cats successfully live with other friendly cats. What I hope you'll see is that FIV is only one small part of my story. It doesn't define who I am. I'm still a sweet, playful, loving young cat who wants the same things every cat dreams about: a warm place to nap, fun toys to chase, and a family to call my own.If you're willing to look past a label and see the cat behind it, I think you'll discover a loyal friend who has a whole lifetime of love to give.Love,DonnyYour cat/kitten’s adoption fee includes:- Current age-appropriate CORE Vaccines (Rabies/FVRCP)- Current on NexGard COMBO Monthly Preventative Topical (Flea/Tick Preventative & Dewormer)- Spaying or Neutering- 24-Petwatch MicrochipAdoption Cost: $75.00FELV/FIV Testing provided for an additional fee of $35.00.
