Katya is the kind of dog who greets every day like it's the best one yet. The moment you approach her kennel, she's happy to see you and ready to say hello. Her excitement is contagious, and she's always eager to get out and spend time with you. She walks nicely on a leash with just a little enthusiasm at first, and while she may jump up to ask for a toy, a treat, or a little extra attention, she's responsive and settles down when reminded. Once the excitement passes, she's perfectly happy to stand by your side, soaking up all the pets you have to offer. She enjoys treats and takes them gently from your hand. Katya has a unique way of playing with toys. Toss one and she’ll race after it and brake into joyful zoomies. She’ll dart back for a quick “drive by squeak” a few times, before she’s off again. Katya has a wonderful balance of play with affection. She's a medium-energy girl who's just as happy chasing toys as she is leaning into you for attention. She's also been a true playgroup rockstar at the shelter, consistently doing well with other dogs, so she'd likely enjoy having a canine friend to romp around with.
