Description
Animal Information: Rocket is a 1-year-old, 12 lb long-haired Spaniel mix. He was originally adopted in San Bernardino, but sadly returned to the shelter just a week later for kennel cough. Unfortunately, returns like this place dogs at immediate risk for euthanasia. Thankfully, Rocket caught the attention of our partners at Angels of Rawley Foundation, who stepped in and saved his life. Rocket may be a little nervous when first meeting new people, but he warms up quickly and shows his true, affectionate nature. He’s friendly with both people and other dogs, and his California foster describes him as “a total lap lovebug.” We can’t wait to welcome Rocket to the PNW and help him find the loving forever home he deserves. Foster Profile: Rocket is a loving and loyal companion once he has time to build trust with his people. He can be cautious around new faces and may be reactive on leash without confident guidance, so he’ll do best with an experienced adopter who can help him feel secure. Rocket is currently living in an apartment, but he can be vocal when left alone. Because of this, his ideal home would be a single-family residence or a home with another confident companion. He enjoys the company of other dogs when introduced properly and would likely thrive with a friendly resident dog or two in the home. Due to his sensitivity around unfamiliar people, Rocket is looking for an adult-only household. He loves going on walks, is always ready for an adventure, and is equally happy relaxing at home with his favorite humans. With patience, structure, and love, Rocket will make a devoted and bestie for life. Adoption Info: Adoption fee is $575 which includes spay/neuter, core vaccinations Rabies and DPPV per AVMA standards, any indicated preventative care, heartworm test, microchip with lifetime registration, and recent health check with a veterinarian. Adoption fee may be tax deductible as Dog Gone Seattle is a 501c3 organization (ID 81-5101166).
