Description

Horton is an adult Pit Bull Terrier mix weighing 71 pounds. He is a reserved, initially stoic boy who prefers to take his time getting to know new people and environments. At first, Horton enjoys exploring independently, but once trust begins to build, he finds comfort in the affection and companionship of his handlers. Horton is looking for an adult-only home with experienced, committed adopters who can give him the time and space he needs to decompress, bond, and continue socializing safely at his own pace. Horton would do well with appropriately matched dogs or as a solo dog with dog friends outside the home. However, it is preferred that Horton be the only pet in the home so he can fully focus on building a strong connection with his people.
