Bessie may only weigh 14 pounds, but this little Chihuahua has packed a whole lot of resilience, personality, and love into one tiny body. Bessie came to OURS from CVAC after being confiscated as part of a hoarding case. When she first arrived, she was timid and unsure of this big new world around her. But with patience, consistency, and plenty of love, Bessie began to realize something wonderful—she was safe. And once she figured that out, her sweet little personality came pouring out. Today, Bessie is an affectionate, happy girl who absolutely lives for love. She’ll greet you with a wagging tail and gentle kisses before tucking her little head into whatever cozy nook she can find. And if there’s an available lap? Consider it claimed. Bessie is happiest curled up close to her humans, soaking in every ounce of affection she can get.
