Description

Meet McLovin! McLovin is a 2-year-old American Bulldog mix weighing about 60 pounds, and he's the perfect combination of playful goofball and affectionate cuddle buddy. This handsome guy has a heart full of love and is ready to find a family of his own. McLovin has never met a stranger—he absolutely loves people and greets everyone with excitement. He has a big personality and plenty of puppy energy left, so when he's happy, expect some adorable zoomies, happy spins, and an enthusiastic welcome! Because of his size and excitement, he'll do best with an adopter who can confidently handle a strong, energetic dog while continuing to reinforce his good manners. When the excitement settles, McLovin transforms into the ultimate couch companion. His favorite place is snuggled up next to his people, and if he had it his way, he'd spend the entire day cuddling. He enjoys walks, but he's not looking for marathon adventures—after a couple of blocks, he's usually ready to head home, stretch out into his signature "sploot," and relax. He's done very well on walks and has not shown reactivity toward other dogs, making him an enjoyable walking partner. McLovin is fully crate trained, potty trained, and has wonderful house manners. He respects household rules, settles nicely into a routine, and shows zero resource guarding. He recently completed a 3-week board and train program where he learned valuable skills, and his future adopter will receive three follow-up training sessions with his trainer to help set everyone up for success. McLovin would thrive as the only dog in the home, where he can soak up all the love and attention he deserves. While he's an easygoing boy in many ways, loud or sudden noises can make him nervous. Busy apartment living or high-noise environments may not be the best fit, and he'd likely be happiest in a quieter home where he can feel safe and relaxed. If you're looking for a loyal best friend who will make you laugh with his goofy personality, melt your heart with endless cuddles, and happily be your shadow, McLovin may be the perfect match.
