Amarilla

Description

Amarilla found herself unwanted and in a high kill shelter in West Texas. She is good with other dogs (she is afraid of some larger dogs and will army crawl) , people, and cats are unknown. She is house trained and kennel trained,  If she hears you in the house, she will scratch at the kennel.  If she has to go to the bathroom, she will whine and then bark.  She does best in the kennel with bones/ chews to keep her busy. All dogs and puppies require supervision and training to be successful. Amarilla is a sweet little girl who recently arrived in Minnesota from Texas.  She is a Chihuahua mix and weighs 11 pounds with silky soft fur.  At just over a year old, she is a very smart girl and is house and kennel trained.  In fact, when you put her in her kennel for the night, she doesn’t make a peep until you get her out in the morning.  Amarilla loves ALL people–young, old, male, female. She will hop right on your lap or roll over for you to scratch her belly.  She will play with other young, smallish dogs but ignores those that don’t want to interact with her.  She isn’t used to big dogs and can be a bit unsure of them at first, but with enough time, she would likely coexist just fine with them.  Amarilla would also be fine being an only dog in a home.  She loves being outside and sniffing around and is starting to learn how to walk on a leash.  If you’re looking for a dog that is both playful and snuggly, this is the one for you!  Amarilla will make a wonderful pet in her forever home!
