Meow meet Marshmallow! At almost 9 years old, this beautiful orange and white tabby girl has known the comfort of a home and the love of her person. She was cherished. She belonged. But her owners health began to decline, a heartbreaking decision had to be made. Wanting the best for her, they entrusted her to their veterinarian, who then was able to get her to the rescue - hoping she would find another home filled with love. Now she’s here…and she’s a little confused. A little sad. Trying to understand where her person went, and why everything is so different. And yet…Marshmallow still chooses love. She is incredibly sweet, gentle, and affectionate. She leans into pets, welcomes soft attention, and holds onto that connection like it’s what keeps her going. Marshmallow does have a medical need that’s very important - she requires daily methimazole to manage her thyroid and keep her healthy. It’s something she will need for the rest of her life. Her adopter will be fully instructed on how to give her the medication as well as have any questions answered by the staff at the rescue. She longs for a quiet home, gentle hands, and someone willing to love her through this transition - someone who will show her that she is safe, wanted, and not forgotten! Because she’s still holding onto the memory of being someone’s whole world…and hoping, with everything she has left, that she’ll get to feel that kind of love one more time.
