Description

Sugar is a male cat who presented bright, alert, and responsive (BAR) but has been experiencing persistent diarrhea that has not responded to treatment, along with vomiting and a decreased appetite. These ongoing gastrointestinal signs are concerning and will require further diagnostics, medical evaluation, and continued supportive care outside of DAS. The level of monitoring and treatment needed exceeds what we can consistently provide in the shelter environment. Despite his medical challenges, Sugar remains sweet and is doing his best while receiving supportive care. Sugar needs a safe, compassionate placement where he can receive additional diagnostic testing, treatment, and recovery support to improve his comfort and quality of life. This pet is at risk for euthanasia due to the level of medical care required, which exceeds what we can provide in the shelter.
