Rowan came to us along with their 27-pound mom and two siblings. These pups haven't had much experience learning to trust people, so they're a little unsure of the big world around them. Rowan is definitely on the shy side. There's a sweet little puppy in there who wants to be loved and make connections with people, but isn't quite sure how to go about it just yet. Rowan will need a patient, understanding adopter who has experience working with shy or under-socialized puppies and understands that building trust takes time. This isn't a puppy who will necessarily run right up to greet you or immediately shower you with affection. Rowan needs someone willing to let them set the pace, celebrate the little victories, and show them that people can be trusted. With consistency, gentle encouragement, and lots of positive experiences, Rowan has the opportunity to gain confidence and blossom into a wonderful companion. Rowan's perfect home will be one that understands that love doesn't always happen overnight. Sometimes it takes a little patience, a lot of reassurance, and someone willing to believe in a puppy before that puppy believes in themselves. If you have a little extra room in your heart for a shy pup who just needs someone to show them how wonderful life can be, Rowan is waiting for you! ❤️ .Please understand you are committing to providing a good home for her entire life (up to 15+ years or more) - not just until her puppy cuteness wears off. You must be committed to housebreaking, age-appropriate enrichment and exercise, leash training, grooming needs, and positive socialization. Like most puppies, she may chew on anything within her reach to include but not limited to baseboards, shoes, socks, children's toys, electrical cords, plants, etc. Her adoption fee is $150. This includes her spay surgery, rabies vaccination, Nobivac® Canine 1-DAPP vaccinations, Bravecto®, Drontal® Plus, Tri-Heart® Plus Chewable Tablet, 24PetWatch® microchip, and leash and collar. Please be aware that puppies and small breed dogs do get adopted quickly so interested parties are encouraged to apply online at www.saspca.org. Please ensure your application is complete before submitting. We do verify property ownership, landlord references, apartment/HOA restrictions, veterinary references. Our adoption events are held every other Saturday at Petco located in the Northwoods Shopping Center at 18138 San Pedro Ave, San Antonio TX 78232.  Event hours are 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Additional questions may be directed to sagdinfo@gmail.com. ** This dog is in a foster home in San Antonio, TX.
