Meet Cheddar, a tiny guy with a big story and an even bigger heart! This sweet 8-year-old boy once lived a happy life with his beloved owner. Sadly, when she was diagnosed with dementia and moved into memory care, her home was sold to help cover her expenses, and Cheddar suddenly found himself outside, left to fend for himself. Having always been an indoor cat, he did what any house cat would do: found a neighbor’s door and tried to get back inside where he belonged. Thankfully, that neighbor was an animal advocate who knew Cheddar deserved better. With her own home already full of animals, she couldn't take him in, but she refused to give up. She contacted an incredible 43 organizations searching for help before we were finally able to make room for him at Tyson’s Place Rescue. Cheddar is now safe and settling into a loving foster home. And what a delightful little guy he is! Cheddar is outgoing, curious, and immediately interested in his surroundings and the people around him. He enjoys being near his humans and has a particularly sweet sleeping preference: snuggled at the top of the bed, right near your head. He's a petite little fellow with excellent litter box habits and plenty of affection to share. Cheddar is neutered, up to date on vaccinations, has had full bloodwork, and will receive a dental cleaning before adoption. He's a healthy boy with many wonderful years ahead of him, and we're hoping to find him a loving home where he can enjoy the comfort, security, and companionship he deserves. After all he's been through, Cheddar is ready for his next chapter. Could it be with you?
