Kevin

Description

***Kevin will be transported to New Jersey on Dec. 12 and will be available for adoption at the Tractor Supply in Ringoes over the Nov 14-15 weekend. An application for his adoption can be submitted at socorescue.com (no need to register or login). Questions about Kevin and/or our adoption policy should be sent to socorescue8@gmail.com; please do not call the Rescue's number.*** Kevin was found as a stray by a family after he was found standing next to the road. After not being able to locate his owner, they gave Kevin a safe place to stay and provided him with lots of love. While at the home, Kevin coexisted perfectly with the family's other dogs. We were asked to help find Kevin a new home. Kevin is a very sweet-natured little fellow who desires human contact. He may appear a little shy at first, but give him a few treats and a belly rub and he'll instantly become your best friend. He's an ideal candidate for anyone looking for a small lap dog and should even do very well in a home with children who know how to properly handle a small dog.  While still with the family that found him, he received an update on his annual vaccinations and was also neutered. Once he arrived at SoCo Rescue, we provided him with additional de-wormings. Since being found, he's also been kept up-to-date on his flea/tick and heartworm preventatives. He also was tested for heartworms prior to coming to us and those results were negative. Kevin may require additional house and leash training once in a new home.
