Description
Hi, I’m Pudgy — and I came awfully close to never getting the chance to introduce myself to you.I arrived at a local shelter after coming from a hoarding situation involving numerous cats. I was estimated to be around 7 years old at the time, although my veterinarian now suspects I may have a few more years of wisdom under my belt. I also arrived with some medical needs the shelter simply wasn’t equipped to manage. With space and resources stretched thin, I was scheduled to be euthanized. The Rescue Crew got me out the day before. And I’m awfully glad they did, because it turns out I have a whole lot of living — and loving — left to do.Despite everything I’d been through, I remained a friendly, social guy. Even at the shelter, I happily accepted pets and attention from the people caring for me. These days, I’m living at The PURRfect Match Cat Adoption Center, where the volunteers have gotten to know me much better. And if you ask them about Pudgy, you’re likely to hear some version of the same thing:“He is SO sweet.”I’m a striking medium-haired tabby with a gentle disposition and the cutest little demure meow. I’m not one of those cats who needs to be the loudest guy in the room to get your attention. There’s something quietly endearing about me, and I have a way of winning people over pretty quickly.I’ve also been getting the medical care I needed. I had severe dental disease when I arrived, including a badly infected and abscessed tooth with bone loss. My veterinary team took care of all of that, and I ended up saying goodbye to quite a few teeth in the process. Apparently nobody told me that cats with fewer teeth are supposed to prefer soft food, though, because given the choice, I’ll still usually pick my crunchy dry kibble. What can I say? I like what I like.More than anything, I’m ready for the part of my story that comes next.I’ve already gone from a crowded hoarding situation, to a shelter where I nearly ran out of time, to being surrounded by people who absolutely adore me. Now I just need one more thing: a family of my own.If you’re looking for a handsome, gentle older gentleman with a sweet soul, a tiny meow, and a second chance he very nearly didn’t get, come meet me.I’m Pudgy. And I think the best chapter of my story might still be ahead.__________WHERE IS THIS PET LOCATED?
