❤️ MEET BUBBA — THE LITTLE MIRACLE WHO REFUSED TO GIVE UP! ❤️ Some dogs come into our lives and leave footprints on our hearts that will never fade. Bubba is one of those dogs. ❤️ When we first learned about Bubba, he was just a tiny puppy, approximately 14 weeks old, who had been found lying unresponsive on the side of the road, likely thrown from a moving vehicle. His little body was broken. He had suffered multiple fractures to BOTH hind legs, including a severe growth plate fracture in his right leg. Even more devastating, the femoral head of his right hip was shattered. There was blood in his urine, and the extent of his injuries was heartbreaking. This was far more than any baby should ever have to endure. But Bubba had something extraordinary going for him. He had an incredible will to live. ❤️ And we were determined to give him every possible chance. What followed was a long road of veterinary care, casts, confinement, healing, and rehabilitation. As his fractures began to mend, we even introduced him to swimming and pool therapy to help him regain strength and mobility. Through it all, Bubba continued to amaze us. Despite the pain, the restrictions, and everything his little body had been through, he never seemed to lose his wonderful spirit. Eventually, after his fractures had healed, Bubba underwent an FHO (Femoral Head Ostectomy) — an orthopedic surgery to remove the damaged ball portion of his hip joint, allowing a functional false joint to develop as he heals. It was another major hurdle for this little guy, but once again, Bubba showed us what he was made of. And now, after everything he's endured, our beautiful boy is beginning the next chapter of his life — finding a family of his very own! ❤️ But here's what makes Bubba's story even more remarkable... You would never know from his personality just how much this little fellow has been through! Bubba is quite honestly one of the sweetest, happiest, most loving puppies we've ever had the pleasure of helping. He absolutely LOVES everyone! People? Wonderful! Little dogs? Loves them! Big dogs? Loves them, too! Young dogs, old dogs, playful dogs, laid-back dogs... Bubba seems to believe that everyone he meets is simply a friend he hasn't made yet. He loves his toys, enjoys playing with his canine buddies, and even likes hanging around the chickens here at the ranch! And when playtime is over? Bubba transforms into the most wonderful little snuggle bug! He absolutely loves curling up in bed beside you, although he's also perfectly willing to sleep quietly in his crate when asked. He's generally a quiet little fellow, unless you happen to come home — in which case, he may have a few excited things to say about how much he's missed you! Or if something unexpected startles him... like the REALLY big dog next door. Which, in Bubba's case, happens to be a HORSE! This little guy has so much personality, so much love, and such an incredible enthusiasm for life. He doesn't know he's supposed to be a medical miracle. He's just Bubba — a happy puppy who wants to play, cuddle, and love everyone he meets. And perhaps that's what makes him so extraordinary. After everything he's been through, he doesn't dwell on yesterday. He's too busy enjoying today. Bubba has already fought the hardest battles of his young life. Now, we're hoping someone wonderful will come along and give him the one thing we can't provide forever...
