Capri

Description

Capri is ready to be your new adventure buddy! Capri is about 4-5 months old, and she is a bundle of fun who is quick to charm you with her happy and goofy personality. She loves to make new friends - both human and canine - and is a little social butterfly. She is looking for an active family who can take her on lots of adventures. Capri weighs about 8lbs, and we estimate that she will be around 20lbs when fully grown. Capri was born in foster care after her mom was rescued from a local shelter and was unknowingly pregnant. It wasn't safe to spay mom, so she had 4 healthy puppies - all named after types of cheese, as mom's name was Grilled Cheese. Grilled Cheese is about 10lbs and is some sort of scruffy terrier mix. We don't know who dad is, but some of the puppies in the litter have curly, poodle-like fur. Mom and the other three puppies have been adopted, so now it's Capri's turn! Capri is a smart and active girl who loves to learn. She would be a great companion for someone who wants a dog to teach lots of things. She might even be a great candidate for dog agility. She is a busybody girl and needs a family who can keep up with her smart mind and playful personality. After a day full of fun, Capri loves to curl up on the couch with her foster family. She loves to follow her foster mom around the house while she gets chores done and is a great sidekick for getting errands done. Capri is still learning all of her basic manners, so she will need a family committed to continuing her training so she can be a well-rounded adult. Capri loves other dogs and has been raised with dogs of all ages and sizes. We think she would do best in a home with another playful dog who can help mentor her and be her new wrestle buddy. Capri has been raised around cats and has done well with dog-savvy cats. Capri could be a wonderful addition to a family with kids 10 years and older. Capri is still working in her house-training, and her new family will need to be consistent with her training and be patient with her. Capri has done well being left for short periods in a crate and sleeping through the night in a bathroom with an open crate. She needs a family who won't have to leave her often or for long. With proper daily exercise, Capri may do well living in an apartment. Capri is such a fun and sweet girl, and she is going to bring so much love to her new family.
