Davy is a fluffy, handsome, two-year-old former stray who is looking for his forever home!This sweet boy is looking for a place to rest his paws where he can finally feel safe, loved, and cherished. He is neutered, has incredibly soft fur, and is as gentle and lovable as they come.His journey hasn't been an easy one. He once lived on the streets, and when he was rescued, he was filthy and severely injured. Thankfully, he has made a complete recovery and is now ready for the happy life he has always deserved.Davy is a very affectionate little guy who loves being close to his people. He knows his name, comes when called, and one of his favorite places to be is curled up sleeping on my lap, or right next to me. He's also a bit of a follower and loves being wherever his people are. Davy truly enjoys companionship and simply wants to be near the people he trusts. He currently lives in a single-family home with 2 adults and 4 resident cats. He is docile and sweet-natured, and even when other cats pick on him, he doesn't fight back or defend himself. Unfortunately, this has led to some of my resident cats bullying him, so I’m hoping to find him a home where he can finally relax without feeling intimidated or threatened. However, he has shown a sweet, playful side (although he’s still a bit scared of wand toys) with the foster kittens who came through my home. They absolutely adored him, and he loved them right back! He enjoyed playing with them, and was wonderful company for the little ones. Now that all the foster kittens have found their forever homes, he's hoping it's finally his turn to find a family of his own.A little about his personality: He does have a playful side and sometimes expresses himself through play-biting. This can be misunderstood (he really does not mean any harm; he just gets a bit over-excited), so he would likely do best in a home without young children, where his boundaries and playful nature will be understood. He may also be startled by sudden movements, so a calm, patient environment would be ideal. What he needs most is a chance.This guy isn't a fighter—he's a gentle, sensitive boy who needs a peaceful place where he can feel secure and loved. Davy will thrive in a calm, loving home with someone who will appreciate his sweet nature, give him time to settle in, and shower him with the love, comfort, and security he deserves. After spending his early life barely surviving on the streets, he's finally learning what it means to be a pampered house cat! He's discovered the joys of cozy naps, soft places to sleep, warm surroundings, and having people who love him. He especially seems to appreciate being safe and snug inside, away from the harsh Minnesota winters. He's embracing the good life, and it's so sweet to watch him enjoy the comforts he's always deserved!
