Description
One cuddle at a time, Watson is finding his confidence. Meet Watson!Watson is a 2-year-old Mini Poodle who came to us as a transfer after being found as a stray in Caroline County. While his past remains a mystery, this sweet and gentle little guy has been slowly showing us more of his personality each day.Watson can be shy when meeting new people and experiencing new situations, but once he feels safe, he absolutely enjoys cuddles and spending time with his favorite humans. Fast movements and loud noises can still be a little scary for him, but every day he grows a bit braver and more confident.Watson does well with other dogs and has shown no issues around cats. In fact, during his cat test, the cats got startled by something, and poor Watson got caught up in the commotion and accidentally ran right into a plant! After a few comforting cuddles, he was back to feeling like himself.Because of his sensitive nature, Watson would do best in a home with calm, patient children ages 12 and up who can understand and respect when he needs a little extra time to adjust. With love, patience, and a predictable routine, Watson is sure to blossom into a wonderful companion. If you're looking for a sweet, affectionate dog who just needs a little time to build confidence, Watson might be the perfect match for your family. ❤️Watson's adoption fee is $175, which helps support their medical care and preparation for adoption. Please note: All of our animals are spayed/neutered and up to date on age-appropriate vaccinations. Each pet also receives a behavioral assessment to help us better understand the type of home they may thrive in. However, it’s important to remember that the results may not fully reflect an animal’s true personality, as shelter and foster environments can be stressful. If you are interested in meeting any of our animals, we encourage you to first visit our website and submit an adoption application: https://www.acskc.org/adopt-1Once your adoption application has been approved, we will call you to set up an appointment to meet with the pet!
