Meet Mark!Mark came to us in a large intake of undersocialized chinchillas. They have been making slow progress here in the shelter but we are hopeful in a quiet home that they will start showing their more playful and social personalities.Chinchillas can live 20+ years so they are a big commitment and a long-term pet. Another special need of chinchillas is regular dust baths (using specially formulated products) for their fur and air conditioning in the summer is a must to prevent them from overheating with their dense fur! Aside from these special needs, chinchillas require care common of rodents such as daily out-of-cage time, enrichment, safe chew toys, and socialization.Mark has been examined by our vet team and is medically cleared for adoption.
